Tom Quinlan
Director
Tom Quinlan is a CPA and company director with expertise in accounting. His management and director experience includes, Director of Quinlan Consulting Team, establishing a Management Accounting company operating in Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Perth. Founding Director of Quinlan Consulting he manages accounting training across five states in Australia. Chair of the Monash MBA Alumni Committee, previously board seat on the Monash University Department of Management Advisory Board, Grants Manager for Melbourne Girls College and Owner of Quinlan Tax.
Tom has senior management experience working with top 100 ASX listed company National Foods. Over seven years he performed roles encompassing Financial Accounting, Financial Systems, Business Process Analyst, Manager of Portfolio Development, and led the Finance section of National Foods SAP roll out which was the largest SAP implementation in Australia that year and won the SAP Australia best implementation award.
Tom is a CPA, holds a MBA from Monash University, completed IT and Accounting degrees at Monash University, the John Bertrand Leadership series, and holds a BAS agent license with the tax Practitioner Board.

Yagnesh has a Masters’ in Accounting and Financial Management from La Trobe University and over 15 years of experience in various accounting, bookkeeping and taxation roles. His specialised experience spans industries such as retail, IT, Medicare, manufacturing, food and beverage, finance, telecommunications, education, online retailing, auction houses and professional services.
As the Executive Manager of Finance at Quinlan Consulting, Yagnesh is a modern financial expert who embraces technology and utilises his vast experience in accounting and finance to lead his team and drive business outcomes. He applies a hands-on approach with clients and brings a deeper and more strategic financial perspective that helps business owners and managers optimise their current operations and also prepare and plan for future opportunities.
Steven Tan
Senior Tax Manager
Steven is a registered Tax accountant with over 23 years experience in the sector experience spanning a range of positions both overseas and within Australia.
Steven has worked for 6+ years as a Taxation consultant within public practice in Australia preparing accounts and lodging returns for companies, trusts, superannuation funds, sole traders and partnerships. He conducted taxation interviews with clients, advised on income distributions and liaised with ATO on technical matters and interpretation of legislation.
HILARIN MENDIS
Executive Manager of Business Services
Hilarin is a CPA and has a Master of Practicing Accounting from Swinburne University. She has 15 years of professional experience working in a diverse range of industries. As the Executive Manager – Accounting and Reporting, Hilarin play a crucial role in overseeing the entire accounting, finance and tax divisions of Quinlan Consulting Team. She will be providing strategic leadership and vision to the Finance division, ensuring effective management and coordination of all financial operations. She possesses strong experience across statutory management and financial accounting with strong software knowledge, including MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks and Excel.
Hilarin worked as an Assistant Accountant at Smart House Fire Solutions for 5 years, where she engaged in managing high volume sales invoices processing for the Smoke Alarm Maintenance services provided for residential properties managed by Real Estate agents. In 2016 she took over the Accounts Supervisor role, overseeing Accounts Payables and Payroll duties, Intercompany accounts and bank reconciliations, weekly financial summary reporting and cash flow analysis. She worked 5 years with Tourism Holdings Australia, initially as a Finance and Payroll Assistant and then as an Assistant Accountant. In this role, she was responsible for Bank administrations, Daily bank journals and reconciliations, End of Month journals and reconciliations for payroll accruals, Intercompany accounts, FX Investment, Prepayments, Interest Expenses, Fuel stock valuations, Commission accruals and standing journals. Hilarin had volunteered as Treasurer and Grant Coordinator for Special Olympics Melbourne Inner East (SOA – MIE) for 5 years from 2012.
